On Sunday 18th September over 20 people – some returning members and some new members – walked with Gill Golding and Allan Grainger, the founders of Urban Photographers Brighton, to uncover the history of the North Laine.
Gill’s talk during the walk gave an extensive insight to this part of Brighton and as a consequence there was an emphatic photographic response to the area from those taking part. We observed there was a variety of different approaches, which made us very excited about what the images would reveal.
The images will be presented on a plasma screen (prints are accepted) at a follow up workshop in the Roof Room at the Brighthelm Centre on Saturday October 1st at 1:30 pm. There will be a small charge of £3 towards the room hire.
All those who took part in the walk will have an opportunity to talk about their images, which were created in order to tell a visual story.
We would like to say thanks to all who did the urban walk with us and we look forward to seeing you at the follow up workshop.
