Urban Photographers Brighton hold monthly meetings, urban walks and occasional workshops and talks to share ideas about urban life and visual methodologies in order to promote a greater understanding of some of the issues concerning the representation of everyday life within the contemporary city.
We see these meetings and events as an opportunity for photographers, artists, researchers and urbanists to share their knowledge and practice whilst drawing upon different aspects of urban theory.
We will provide opportunities for image makers to seek support from the group with their visual projects, encourage partnerships and collaborative approaches to work, welcome experimental ideas and promote active engagement with urban theory.
We anticipate that engaging with UPB will help to expand networks and contacts and encourage new encounters.
