Terms and Conditions

In these Terms and Conditions, ‘the Company’ refers to Urban Photographers Brighton and ‘the Event’ to the walking/photography workshop.

1. Booking and Your Contract with Urban Photographers Brighton

All bookings on our events are subject to the following terms and conditions and your acceptance of them constitutes a legally binding contract under English law.  You will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions unless we hear from you within seven days of you receiving your booking confirmation (assuming a normal postal period).

To make a booking, please check the website or email us to check availability. To confirm your place, pay the full amount at least 1 day before the event. A confirmation receipt will be forwarded to you normally within 1 day of receipt of payment. The contract is made between us when we send this confirmation and we guarantee that the price of your event will not be subject to alterations.

2. Payment Terms and Methods of Payment

Payment is due in full 1 day before the event starts. Should the balance not be received by this date, your place may be cancelled. Our cancellation policy will apply.

Payment for all events must be made in pounds sterling.  Urban Photographers Brighton accepts the following payments:
• Paypal – via the website. Please follow the Paypal instructions to pay in full. An email will be sent to you to confirm payment. You do not need a Paypal account.

Your booking will only be confirmed when payment has been cleared through Urban Photographers Brighton’s bank account.  We reserve the right to refuse participation on an event if payment is not received on time.

3. Discount Policy

We may offer discounts from time to time and unless otherwise stated, any discount available on an event may not be used in conjunction with any other special discount or offer.

4. Transfers and Substitutions

If you wish to transfer to another event, we must receive your written request at least 3 calendar days before the start date of the event that you originally booked.  You need to tell us the date and name of the event to which you wish to transfer to and the alternative event must take place within 3 months of the event for which you originally booked.  We will only accept transfers where the original booking has already been paid for in full.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Please notify us about your cancellation in writing. When we receive your written cancellation, the following policy will apply: Less than 3 days notice of cancellation before the event: Urban Photographers Brighton will retain the total cost. If the event takes place but you are unable to attend, your non-attendance will be taken as a cancellation on the day of the event and will attract a 100 percent cancellation fee.

6. Changes to the Programme and Itinerary

The Urban Photographers Brighton programme may be subject to change from time to time (road closures, public events etc.). Occasionally it is necessary, for reasons beyond our control, to change the walk, date or venue. We undertake to keep you informed of these changes as soon as it is practicable.

•Where an alteration is minor, we will advise you before the walk begins, but we are not obliged to pay you compensation.
•When an alteration is major (and a major alteration involves, for instance, changing the date or venue of walk) we will advise you as soon as it is reasonably possible.
–    You will then have the choice of accepting the alteration,
–    taking an alternative event (and where this is of a lower price, we will refund the difference), or
–    withdrawing from the contract and accepting a full refund.

7. Cancellation Due to Lack of Demand or Circumstances Beyond our Control

If we have to cancel your event before the date of departure, due to lack of demand or circumstances beyond our control, you will have the choice to:

–      take an alternative event (and where this is of a lower price we will refund the difference) or
–      withdraw from the contract and accept a full refund.

On very rare occasions we may have to cancel as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. This specifically relates to the illness or injury of our key staff but also includes political upheaval, war or threat of war, riots, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers or other similar events beyond our control. In such circumstances, you will have the choice to:

–     take an alternative event (and where this is of a lower price we will refund the difference) or
–     withdraw from the contract and accept a full refund.

8. Itinerary and Start Times

You are responsible for ensuring that you follow instructions provided by Urban Photographers Brighton in respect of the start times for walks.  Urban Photographers Brighton cannot be liable for any loss or expense suffered by participants because of their late arrival or failure to follow the instructions provided.
